In April, 2019, Haiyuan chemical implemented the energy-saving technical transformation of propargyl alcohol partition heat pump rectification around the company’s overall deployment with the goal of strengthening the production management of fine chemicals and the starting point of comprehensively improving product quality and reducing consumption.
The energy-saving technology of propargyl alcohol partition heat pump distillation is optimized by Tianjin University Based on the existing operating equipment and using software process simulation calculation. The diaphragm distillation technology and heat pump distillation technology are coupled for the first time, and this technology is applied to the concentration process of propargyl alcohol and 1,4 butynediol for the first time. Electric energy is used to replace steam, so that the energy consumption required in the concentration process of propargyl alcohol and butynediol can be reduced by about 25% compared with the conventional process, and the annual cost can be saved by 20million yuan.
The diaphragm distillation technology is to add a vertical diaphragm in the middle of the conventional distillation column, and divide the middle part of the conventional distillation column into two parts: the feed side and the recovery side. In practical application, for the separation of three components, pure components can be obtained at the top, middle and bottom of the tower respectively, so as to realize the separation of three components in a single tower. The energy-saving principle of diaphragm distillation technology is to couple the pre separation of components with distillation, reduce the backmixing of materials and the difficulty of separation, so as to reduce the initial investment and reduce the operation cost. The diaphragm distillation technology is especially suitable for the system to be separated in which the middle boiling point components account for the majority and the light components and heavy components account for a small part, while saving about 30% of the initial investment. The raw materials for the concentration of propargyl alcohol are propargyl alcohol 3.2%, water 90.8%, and butynediol 6%. Water, as the intermediate component, accounts for the majority, which meets the service conditions of diaphragm distillation technology.
